Changing Views by Daniel Merriam – 1000 Piece Jigsaw Puzzle (Pomegranate)

Elephants cross a stone viaduct with whole Victorian towers strapped to their backs — turquoise, buttercup, coral and mint green, each one bristling with balconies, arched windows and finials. Monkeys in top hats ride the balconies and steer. Daniel Merriam painted it in 2016 under a blue sky with a thin crescent moon that has a face, and framed the lot in a pale yellow border.

The towers are fiddly but distinct; the sky and cloud across the top third are the section to leave until last. Finished size 51 x 68cm.
