This is a seek-and-find puzzle built around the films of Steven Spielberg, illustrated by Alexandre Clérisse in a bold, flat graphic style. The scene packs in references across an isometric landscape — a Jurassic Park gate and roaming dinosaurs in the lower left, a Mayan pyramid rising through jungle, E.T. and Elliott silhouetted on a bicycle against the moon, a pirate ship, a tank, a commercial airliner cutting through canyon country, and parachutists dropping in from the top left corner. There is a lot going on, deliberately.

Clérisse uses a tight palette of deep purples, greens, and terracottas, which gives the whole thing a cinematic night-scene quality. Because every section is packed with small figures and film references at roughly the same scale, sorting by colour will only get you so far — you will need to work scene by scene. A good one to do with someone who knows their Spielberg.

About this puzzle

4/5
Hard

The isometric scene is densely packed with small figures and references at a consistent scale, and the dominant dark purple and deep green palette reduces contrast across large areas, making it hard to differentiate sections by colour alone.
