Whatever the result was, it has gone the lads' way. One of them is up on a friend's shoulders outside the grand old stone building with his arm flung high, and the exercise book he has just thrown is still turning over in the sky above him.
The rest are cheering and hanging off each other below, one woman blowing a little brass horn. Down at the front a grey-haired man in a suit looks straight out at us, quite calm, having seen all this before!
