François Ruyer - The Trolls

The knights have ridden into the wrong part of the forest, and the forest has noticed! Three little riders in red and white, one on a camel, one on a donkey and one on a hare, have stopped dead in a mossy clearing while a ring of tree-stump trolls leans in to get a good look at them.

Nobody quite knows who is more alarmed. The big bearded troll on the right is bellowing, the one beside him has a hand on his chin and a very long nose to think down, and a few little mice are keeping well out of it. So will the party ride on, or turn tail?
