A sky-blue Plymouth with a caravan in tow is idling by the gasoline station, its driver peering out with a grin, while a finned 1959 Chevy sweeps round to join them. Petrol is under thirty cents, the mountains are still capped with snow and the road is wide open. Where is everyone heading?
