A busy boatyard at full stretch — a large passenger ferry dominates the foreground, packed with passengers on every deck, while behind it the yard itself is in organised chaos. Boats are being hauled up rails, a caravan sits in the yard beside an old truck, and a sailing boat towers over the workers attempting to deal with it. A sign reading Werft (German for boatyard) hangs on the shed wall.
This is classic Doro Göbel and Peter Knorr — the kind of cartoon illustration where you keep finding new things the longer you look. A couple seems to be arguing on the smaller houseboat to the right, someone is fishing from the dock, and there's a dog causing trouble somewhere near the gangway. The whole image is drawn in their lively, detailed line-art style with strong block colours, which makes sorting pleasantly manageable despite the sheer number of characters.
Comes with a poster, which is handy given how much is going on. A solid 1000-piece build with enough variety to keep things moving.
The image is packed with dozens of small characters, multiple vessels, and large areas of water and sky with subtle tonal variation, making it challenging to locate individual pieces despite the bold line-art style.
