It's a bright spring morning among the blossom and the whole garden seems to be singing. A little wren on a weathered fence post has his beak wide open, a cardinal in his red coat keeps watch from the branch, and a pair of bluebirds sit side by side among the pink roses as if they have all the time in the world.
A rose-breasted grosbeak, an oriole, a chickadee and a nuthatch have all dropped in too. So who started the chorus?
Each bird is a distinct, brightly coloured focal point, but the soft blurred background of pink, green and blue blossom and the many similar flower clusters add some tricky areas.
