The top half of this image is the street outside Disco 3000 at some ungodly hour — a crowd of clubbers queuing behind barriers, a bouncer on the door, a 24-hour snack shop doing brisk trade, and enough neon signage to read by. The bottom half cuts the roof off the club itself: a packed dancefloor lit by globe lights, DJ E. Calami-Dee-Jane behind the decks, and wall-to-wall people in various states of getting on with it. There's a bear at the bar. Nobody seems to think that's unusual.
This is a Heye puzzle in the classic where's-the-detail mould — two distinct scenes stacked vertically, each crammed with individual characters doing their own thing. The colour palette swings between the cold blue of the night street and the hot pink and teal of the club interior, which makes sorting manageable despite the sheer number of figures. That said, the dancefloor crowd is dense and the faces are small, so the middle section will keep you busy.
The artwork is by Calami, whose signature sits in the lower left corner — a comic-book linework style with flat fills and bold outlines that gives the whole thing real graphic energy. Good one to do with someone else.
The image is split into two densely packed scenes with dozens of small figures, intricate linework, and a dancefloor section where similar-toned characters merge into a busy crowd with few large distinct colour zones to anchor sorting.
